The 2D animated series “Audrey’s Shelter,” produced in France, has received the backing of UNESCO to further enhance children’s ecological awareness.
This show revolves around the everyday life of a seven-year-old girl named Audrey, who resides in a sanctuary devoted to endangered species. Alongside her closest companion, Tommy, she embarks on a continuous journey of discovering new animal species and understanding how to coexist harmoniously with them. Through these adventures, the series imparts valuable lessons to young viewers about the significance of preserving biodiversity.
The series is a collaborative effort between Watch Next, Image-in Atlantique, and Peekaboo Animation, with direction by Alexandre Coste and an original concept by Sylvain Huchet. International distribution is handled by Kids First.
UNESCO is set to host a global premiere screening of a two-episode series at its Paris headquarters in early 2024, welcoming numerous primary school groups. Following the screening, there will be a discussion led by experts in biodiversity and animal conservation.
